Questions, answered

Starting from Marrakech — FAQ

How many days do you need if you start from Marrakech?
Four to seven days is the sweet spot. Three days covers Marrakech plus one big excursion (desert or Essaouira). Seven days gets you the full imperial-cities-and-Sahara loop without rushing.
Is Marrakech's airport convenient for tours?
Yes. Marrakech Menara (RAK) is 15 minutes from the medina, and handles direct flights from 30+ European and Gulf cities. Most travellers land in the morning, check into their riad by lunch, and start the tour the following day.
Can I extend my tour after it ends in Marrakech?
Absolutely — we routinely add a post-tour rest day (hammam, rooftops, shopping) or a 2-night Essaouira extension. Just ask at briefing.
Is it better to start a Sahara tour from Marrakech or Fes?
Marrakech is faster on the return leg (long drive one direction, flight home from Marrakech); Fes is more scenic on the outbound. If it's your only Morocco trip and you want to visit both imperial cities, starting in Fes and ending in Marrakech is the canonical 7- to 10-day route.
